Craig has worked for United Parcel Service for the past 26 yrs; Rose worked for
UPS for13 yrs and now works for Black Hills Badlands and Lakes.
Craig has lived in the Rapid City area for most of his life and Rose moved here
in 1977 from eastern SD. We met when we both worked at UPS. Married in Dec. of
1987 and started dancing just last year. We joined the DTDC in Oct of 2001.
We like the East Coast Swing and any of the other dances we can remember all the
steps to. We like meeting all the people that come to the dance classes and all
of the events that the club hosts. We mostly like the dances at St. Elizabeth Seton
and the Moose Lodge. It gives us a chance to practice some of the things we think
we know how to do.
I don't know that this is the most memorable dance moment; but the first dance
we ever went to, Craig left right in the middle of a dance and went home. He said:
"I don't care what you say, I am never going to learn how to do that stuff and
you can't make me. I'm never going to go back there again". The next thing he knew,
I signed us up for a dance class with Deb Ellerton and thanks to her and Shawn,
Linda and Henry, and Wanda and Dave; I can't keep him off the dance floor. You
guys all helped create a dancing monster. Now he thinks he's Fred Astaire. We
would like to thank all of our teachers for letting us torture you all these months.
